Texas Education Grantmakers Partner with New Voices to Distribute
Innovative Public Education Research
The Texas Education Grantmakers Advocacy Consortium chose six grantees to work as creative partners in disseminating the Consortium’s research findings leading up to and through the 2015 Legislative Session.
The Consortium’s policy work groups and Leadership Committee awarded a total of $110,000 to these grantees to disseminate research findings around the Consortium’s three core areas: Statewide Pre-kindergarten Access and Quality, Access to and Quality of Out-of-School Time, and Effective Implementation of House Bill 5 through an Assessment of High School Counselor Capacity. Throughout 2014 and 2015, grantees educated and engaged a diverse array of Texans around the issues prioritized by the Consortium bringing new, unique voices to long-standing public education debates.
